TAMIM ANSARY is the author of West of Kabul, East of New York, published by Picador in 2003, a memoir of a life that straddles the fault line between Islam and the West. He has also written numerous nonfiction books for children and is a regular columnist for Microsoft's Encarta.com. Tamim's commentary has been heard on the Bill Moyers Show, the News Hour with Jim Lehrer, and the Oprah Winfrey show.

FRANK BALDWIN is the author of two fast-paced novels, Balling the Jack, published by Simon & Schuster in 1998, and the erotic thriller Jake & Mimi, published by Little, Brown in 2002. Frank is currently employed writing screenplays.

JOHN GRANT is a professional editor and the author of sixty or so books, about twenty-five of them fiction. He co-edited The Encyclopedia of Fantasy and is the recipient of two Hugo Awards, and of the World Fantasy Award.

MICHAEL GRAY is the author of Confederate Nation. His work has appeared in Arkansas Review, Potomac Review, and Viet Nam Generation. He is the winner of the 2005 Alligator Juniper Fiction Prize and the 2005 The Writers Place Award for Short Fiction. He has taught in upstate New York, Illinois, Michigan, Wisconsin, and Texas.

KEMBLE SCOTT is the author of SoMa, a gritty novel about love and sex in San Francisco, scheduled to be published by Kensington Books in February 2007. An alum of the Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism, Kemble has worked in print and television news and has been honored with three Emmy awards and the Edward R. Murrow award.
